South Los Angeles and South Jamaica may not be as different as one may assume. As a Black woman who has spent the majority of her life in non-Black and male dominated environments, I have learned to adapt effortlessly. I am not a Californian, but I have experience surviving and excelling in a rough neighborhood within a big city.
Athlete.
As a former elite volleyball player, and journalist, my overall love for sports has allowed me to confidently engage in conversations, write, and play many sports, football being one of them.
Also, I am not afraid to ask questions and conduct research.
