INFLUENCER is centered around the lives of two sophomore teammates, Monica and Skai, who are enjoying their first year as roommates, when an abrupt career choice puts a strain in their friendship. After her pride takes an embarrassing hit, Monica decides to become a full-time YouTuber, or as full-time as her classes and practices will allow. Skai is unsure about Monica’s endeavors and she often informs her. Monica sets goals and expectations for her life as an influencer. By making her own viral and trending videos, she will surely gain an audience and sponsorships. As an avid viewer, she already knows what videos generate the most views -- or so she thought. How hard could it be to record and upload quality content? Monica’s stress relief soon becomes her burden. Set mainly in a dorm suite, INFLUENCER is a comedy about trial and error. However, it explores the dramatic conversations, habits, and lives of college athletes.
